Recording credits, release details and event information are checked against artist, label, institutional or other primary material when available. We keep a distinction between when a performance took place and when a video, album or concert film was published.
Listening questions and musical interpretations are editorial judgments. They are not measurements of an artist’s ability or proof about an entire career. We avoid presenting audience reactions, studio processing, private intentions or production details as facts without a basis for doing so.
Useful context
An embedded video is the starting point for an article. Our text adds an explanation, a comparison or a focused way to approach the performance. Related recordings are selected for a stated connection to the main story.
Articles about musical parody discuss adaptation, performance and cultural context. A performer’s political statement is attributed to that performer; a lyric or satirical premise is not treated as independent reporting or evidence about another person.
